UNICEF
UNICEF focuses their attention on research and collection of data to assist I'm creating programs that will conquer problems on childhood poverty and disparities, global economic crisis, and so ideal issues affecting youth and families and the level of povery they encounter.
3 interesting items discovered in my research of UNICEF are:
They have many projects/ initiative currently going on to prevent poverty.
UNICEF is working globally across the word in.over 190 countries.one if the leading advocates for children's rights.
UNICEF statistics states that nearly half of the deaths on children under the age of 5 die because of poverty or malnutrition in the United States.
Contrenia,
ReplyDeleteI read about poverty in Brazil and they also have a high mortality rate of children under 5. The reason being is due to poverty. They created programs like the Bose Family Program. “The BFP is the world’s largest CCT program, with a total of 13.9 million families enrolled in 2012” (Rasella, 2013).

Contrenia,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the information from this week's research. It is sad to know that a country such as the United States continues to have children die due to poverty or malnutrition. This simply should not be.

It is so sad that anyone would have to live in poverty, especially children. If they are given the chance to receive a good education at an early age could be beneficial. This could help them get the education they need later in life to be able to receive a good job and not have to live in poverty as they did growing up.
ReplyDeleteI used this website as well. I learned a lot of information from several differnt countries on how poverty effects children.
