Gender, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation

I have four nephews  and name calling is a regular behavior that it dealt with amongst these boys.  Sterling, is my youngest nephew, he is always called "faggot" and "gay" by his brothers because of his constant desire to act out in a girlish manner. He knows he's a boy but he will dress like a girl, play with a doll hair and even twerk as he says like a girl.

Jonnathian, the middle son, is constantly calling him fag and punk and did it last evening because he came out the tub , put on his clothes for bed and was twerking. The adults talk to Sterling because for a long time his father would yell and it would.only put fear in him. He would feel bad and it kills his self esteem and confuse him.

Another topic near and dear to me is transfer amongst teens and youth
 It's a big topic with the government trying to regulate laws around transgender restrooms. One of my best friends lost her friends to mental illness snd she committed suicide and was transgender. See the article for more im formatiom

International research and Consequences

As I completed this course I have learned many things as a consequence of research:
1) UNICEF  has a goal globally to end poverty which is effecting all in the early. Childhood field on a international level.

2) Education and inequity can be measured globally and is uneven amongst the nations.  Globally teachers are undervalued anf yet serve as the foundational base to a child's beginning  learning stages.

3) problems in the educational system need to be standardized globally. The expectation, credentials, experience and skill set is not up to pat and therefore gives  some xhildren the opportunity to gain a higher educational opportunity.

One goal I feel needs to occur is the equalization of policies , pay, and requirements for teachers. Poverty is an international epidemic affecting early childhood because of the lack of resources to children as nd families. The opportunity should be available to each child to receive the higheat level of a quality education filled with excellence as posaible.

UNICEF

UNICEF focuses their attention on research and collection of data to assist I'm creating programs that will conquer problems  on childhood poverty and disparities, global economic crisis,  and so ideal issues affecting youth and families and the level of povery they encounter.

3 interesting items discovered in my research of UNICEF  are:

They have many projects/ initiative currently going on to prevent poverty.

UNICEF is working globally across the word in.over 190 countries.one if the leading advocates for children's rights.

UNICEF  statistics states that nearly half of the deaths on children under the age of 5 die because of poverty or malnutrition in the United States.

Highscope what is the international resource that I chose of my choice. High School prison nonprofit organization that began in 1970 where it was dedicated to the following individuals teachers, families, students, and researchers. High School gives current and updated information on International conferences for educational purposes as well as various tests and different things that are needed to know for educators teachers and research that is done for the betterment of early childhood education. High School Falls in line directly with the NAEYC and standards of education set by the educational boards.

My support

When I think of the support in my life, I immediately think of family, friends and my spiritual connection to God. I would be nothing in life without these components. In my darkest moments my faith is what gives me strength. My mother has been my "Shero". Her ability to raise 4 children as a single parent made here the ultimate role model and built me into the woman I am today.
Having such strong relationships allowed me the opportunity to be a social butterfly. I received a good education and had positive experiences  that have served as testimonial test to my success. It would be a challenge to not have these items in my life because I would be lost.

Play in my life:
Play has always been an important part.of my life and has been made a part of the daily exercise both in school and out. My family believes in fun and play and learning thru self discovery.


Play for children today:
Children today have do much cirriculum that they are not given as much play . This leaves little time for growth  and development thru play . I have strong social skills because of my ability to play.

I plan to keep my minds healthy by keeping play in and fun activities in my life. As you grow into adulthood you should never stop wanting to learn or have gun. Keeping your mind stimulated allows you motivation for innovative ideas and creativity.

Wk 2
Having a positive relationship with my family and friends very important to me. The way we interact in the way we support one another says a lot about my character and who I am. It also determines somewhat how I interact with others outside my circle as well.
My family knows that I am big on the key thing: communication, interactions,honesty,loyalty, protection,quality and quantity. I am the go to person and everyone comes to me. I'm string and believe  in being truthful in my opinion yet soft and delicate in my spproach. We spend alot of time together as a family and we protect each other having each other's back.
I have found that over time u had to learn to humble myself before speaking. Learn to stop thinking of everything in the "I" state of mind. Learn to think of things from different angles to gain perspectives and then speak and not talk "at" but speak "with" people (especially  my significant  other). We have to see each others differences  and respect that.

If we learn to listen when communicating we could learn more. Time builds rapporte. It also gives you that quality time to build a relationship. Children need quality time withnpatents. Time and conversation is what money and material  things can't buy.
